ONE NIGHT ONLY!
Walmartopia World Domination Tour
Send-Off at The Barrymore Theater,
2090 Atwood Avenue, Madison.

MADISON, WI-  After a phenomenal sold-out run at the Bartell Theater and an encore production at the Overture Center's historic Capitol Theater, Walmartopia is taking the show to New York City.

The husband and wife creative team, Capellaro and Rohn, are also the authors of Temp Slave, the Musical, which enjoyed five Madison productions, a tour to San Francisco and Berkeley, and an Off-Broadway reading.

Mercury Players Theater first produced Walmartopia as a one-act play in 2004 and as a full-length musical in December and January.

StageQ produced our encore performance at
the Overture Center's Capitol Theater.

"We are thrilled to be able to offer New York a taste of Walmartopia, says Capellaro. "Our success in Madison proves that audiences are hungry for politically savvy entertainment that pokes fun at the powers that be. We will proudly represent Wisconsin's progressive tradition by presenting our locally grown musical for an international audience."

The New York International Fringe Festival is in its 10th year and drew 70,000 people to downtown Manhattan last year.

After a ONE NIGHT ONLY performance at Madison's Barrymore Theater on August 12, the Walmartopians will travel by bus to New York, August 13-23.
