 About Catherine
Capellaro and Andrew Rohn
"A hip Rogers and
Hammerstein."--Madison Magazine.
Catherine Capellaro (co-author and co-director)
co-authored and performed in all versions of the critically
acclaimed Temp Slave, the musical. She has also
written, directed, and appeared in numerous plays and musicals. She
played trumpet and sang in the Merkins, a bluegrass-funk ensemble
and currently performs with the dance band V05 and the Madgadders
band.
Andrew Rohn (co-author, composer, music director) is a
composer and multi-instrumentalist, who has created works for Broom
Street Theatre, Maureen Janson's SmartDance, Apple computer, and
radio, TV, and film projects by The Onion's Scott Dickers. He has
performed with the Merkins, The New Black, V05, the Madgadders band,
and the Walmartians.
Their smash hit, Temp Slave, the
musical, enjoyed four sold-out runs in Madison, a tour to San
Francisco's Laborfest, and an Off-Broadway reading produced by
Working Theater. When they wrote Temp Slave,
Manpower Inc. was the country's largest employer. Now Wal-Mart
enjoys that distinction.
Andrew Rohn and Catherine Capellaro were named two of
the "All-Time Top 125 Madisonians Who Made a Difference" by Madison
magazine. More important, they are parents of Julian and Leo, age
seven.
